Cork City FC - Branding Re-Design
The decision to take on a project of this nature was largely based on my passion for both design and football. Ever since undertaking a Creative Multimedia course at Limerick School of Art and Design (Clonmel) I have always been looking for an opportunity to combine both mediums and create a design project to a professional standard. As a recent graduate I now find myself with more free time and therefore more opportunities to realise this ambition. As a result I have decided to create a re-brand for Cork City FC, a team which plies its trade in the top tier of the Irish football league. Founded and elected to the league in 1984, Cork City FC is one of the first clubs in Ireland to field a team of professional footballers. A club of such esteem should have an effective branding in place which currently I do not think it does. My aim for this project was to rectify this, I hope you enjoy!
